This post is a special one, as we would like to address our three different religious communities as they observe their respective important seasons.
As we are headed to the Easter weekend, the Lenten season is about to end also. The Lent season is 40-day period wherein Christians remember the life and teachings of Jesus Christ as well as replicate his sacrifice and withdrawal into the desert for 40 days. On one of the important days of the Lent season (Ash Wednesday), Christians mark their foreheads with cross made from ash as a symbol of sorrow and mourning over the sin. We wish the Christian population a blessed Lenten season to all! On the 1st day of the month of April marks the beginning of Ramadan, wherein Muslims are commonly known to observed this as a month of fasting. The month of Ramadan is also considered the holiest month, wherein they observe spiritual reflection and growth, help the ones who are in most need, and spend more time with their loved ones. For our Muslim friends, Ramadan Mubarak! May Allah SWT’s blessings be with you! The Passover just started for observants of Judaism. It is celebrated to remember how Moses freed the Israelites from slavery. The Passover is derived from one of the plagues God had made. As the Israelites painted lamb's blood on their doorposts, the angel would pass over these houses and not kill the first-born child. Chag pesach sameach to the Jewish community! May your Passover celebration be filled with importance, love, and joy.
